A leading American food products manufacturing company operating in North America, Canada, Europe, and other geographies. They have multiple brands and products with their applications and websites hosted on the AWS cloud platform. 

Challenges  

• Segregate client’s applications and tools hosted on AWS based on region and products. 
• Maintain the business operations during the migration by eliminating disruptions.
• Use one Windows Active Directory (AD) for both business groups and multiple applications in the AWS cloud.
• Minimize impact on the existing users’ access to the applications while implementing role-based access permissions.

LTM Solution 

LTM team proposed and implemented the following solution:

• Created parent groups based on business segregation. 
• Created child groups under the parent groups to give access to the entity group users based on the roles in the AWS cloud. 
• Created new users using their VPN accounts and assigned them to the respective role-based groups.
• Enabled the respective applications’ administrators to manage user access. 
• Ensured that users could only access the application they had existing permission for and not any other groups on the AWS cloud.
