This UK-based subsidiary of a globally established banking group operates in a highly regulated financial services environment, delivering corporate, commercial, retail, deposit, and trade finance services. Supporting businesses and correspondent banking relationships across multiple regions, the institution plays a strategic role in enabling cross-border trade, correspondent banking, and international clients operating in complex, multi-currency markets.

Challenges

A legacy core banking platform increasingly constrained growth, product innovation, and operational efficiency. The environment limited scalability, slowed the launch of new products, and introduced complexity across payments and trade finance operations.

As transaction volumes and customer expectations evolved, standardizing processes, managing costs, and aligning with broader group technology strategy became progressively more difficult. Sustaining competitiveness required more than incremental upgrades, it required a new operating foundation.

LTM partnered with the organization and Temenos to deliver a comprehensive core banking and payments transformation built on Temenos Core Banking and the Temenos Payments platform. The program followed a structured, solution-led approach prioritizing speed, risk mitigation, and long-term operational stability.

The engagement began with a detailed assessment of the legacy environment, business processes, and regulatory obligations. A migration strategy was designed to align with growth priorities while ensuring continuity of critical corporate, retail, and trade finance operations throughout the transition.

A central component of the transformation involved consolidating multiple legacy systems and manual operational workflows into a unified Temenos environment. This simplification reduced application dependencies, improved process consistency, and enabled more structured, easily adoptable ways of working across business and operations teams. The transition also strengthened consolidated financial reporting and enterprise controls.

Leveraging deep Temenos expertise, LTM executed the end-to-end system migration, data conversion, integration, and testing within just over 15 months. The solution established a modern, scalable Temenos core banking platform deployed within an On-Prem environment, aligned with regulatory, security, and operational requirements.

Temenos Core enabled a full suite of retail, commercial, and deposit services, while the Temenos Payments platform strengthened transaction processing, resilience, and cross-border payment capabilities. Specialized trade finance functionalities further supported businesses operating in global markets.

Cross-functional teams worked closely with business, operations, and technology stakeholders to enable adoption through structured change management and user readiness programs. Beyond implementation, LTM continues to provide ongoing managed services, reinforcing operational stability and continuous improvement across the bank’s corporate banking digital transformation journey.
