Challenges

• High licensing cost of the existing data storage database

LTM Solution

• Assisted with migrating enterprise Oracle-based order management application to Aurora PostgreSQL, transitioning to an optimized database solution, eliminating future Oracle licensing costs.
• Performed functional and performance benchmarking validation and fine-tuning to ensure the target PostgreSQL database’s success criteria were met/exceeded.
• Provided specific and actionable reports on functional and performance benchmarking results, observations, and recommendations at critical milestones.
• Created an AWS cloud architecture for a secure and scalable data landscape, thereby controlling costs, using Simple Storage Service (S3), Aurora PostgreSQL, AWS Database Migration Service (DMS), and AWS Schema Conversion Tool (SCT)
• Migrated 124 Oracle Database (DB) schemas containing 2,71,897 object types, totaling 29.16 TB in memory size.
• Produced performance benchmarking on the Aurora PostgreSQL dataset with complex and medium SQL queries for monitoring and optimization of performance.
• Transferred document objects from the Oracle database to the file system.
• Performed database operational readiness tests to check the readiness and compatibility of the target database for the next-generation tools.
• Integrated upstream and downstream applications as part of the final stages of modernization to AWS Cloud 
• Leveraged LTM's Scarlet Dependency Analyzer to create a dependency chart by identifying various entry points and chains of dependencies
