A top 5 bank-owned Insurance Wealth provider offering a broad suite of investment solutions to Canadians through proprietary and independent distribution channels.

Challenges

The organisation aimed to digitise and streamline the policy setup and transaction processing for its popular Guaranteed Income Fund (GIF) product. The goal was to eliminate manual bottlenecks and deliver a compliant, real-time experience for advisors, clients, and operations teams.

  • Manual, multi-step onboarding for GIF policies
  • High error rates and Not In Good Order (NIGO) submissions
  • Elevated operational costs and advisor follow-up burden
  • Paper-heavy workflows with limited process visibility
  • Limited external visibility into requests status throughout the process chain

LTIMindtree Solution

LTIMindtree partnered with the client to implement a complete, secure, digital workflow for GIF account setup and initial transaction processing. The solution leveraged the Order Express (OEX) platform’s orchestrated API integration with the Unitrax Transfer Agency Platform to enable Straight-Through Processing (STP).

Key capabilities included:

  • Guided onboarding flows with embedded business rules to ensure data accuracy
  • Integrated front-to-back office functions including validations, task creation for back-office pre/post-trade compliance, and real-time status updates
  • Trade Settlement including FundSERV, EFT, Cheque, or Internal and External transfer
  • End-to-end automation covering form generation, e-signatures, and straight-through processing to the Unitrax Book of Record
