LTM’s Solution
LTM designed and implemented an end-to-end automation framework to eliminate manual CRM reporting dependencies and enable consistent, timely delivery of Management Information (MI). The solution transformed a fragmented, pull-based reporting process into a centralized, push-based intelligence delivery model, leveraging the client’s existing Microsoft technology stack and licenses.
The solution comprised the following key components:
• Automated orchestration using Microsoft Power Automate
A scheduled workflow was configured to automatically retrieve data from multiple Dynamics 365 CRM views without any user involvement, removing reliance on manual data extraction and individual availability.
• IST-specific data filtering and consolidation
The automation applied business-unit–specific filtering to isolate relevant MI, ensuring that only accurate and contextually relevant data was processed for reporting.
• Standardized data transformation and report preparation
Extracted CRM data was consolidated, formatted, and structured into a consistent report layout, ensuring uniformity in report content, timing, and accuracy across stakeholders.
• Automated MI distribution via Outlook
Using the Exchange Online connector, reports were automatically delivered to predefined stakeholder groups immediately upon generation, enabling timely visibility without manual intervention.
• Cost-neutral, scalable architecture
The solution was implemented entirely using existing D365 Sales Enterprise and Power Automate Free licenses, ensuring zero incremental cost. A modular design enabled straightforward replication across additional business units and future extension to other CRM domains, including sales, marketing, customer service, and field service.
By embedding extraction, transformation, and distribution into a single automated service, LTM eliminated manual dependencies, ensured consistent reporting patterns, and positioned the client for broader data automation initiatives across the enterprise.
