Client

The client is an American developer and manufacturer of wide-bandgap semiconductors focused on silicon carbide and gallium nitride materials and devices for power and radio frequency applications such as transportation, power supplies, power inverters, and wireless systems.

Challenges

As a part of the client’s digital transformation initiative with SAP S/4HANA core ERP & SAP Cloud solutions, various applications needed complex integration with the core ERP.

These applications varied from the legacy non-SAP cloud to SAP cloud-based to custom-built homegrown. This created different challenges for the integration for the data formats and connectivity options, making the business processes more reliable and scalable with the future demands in scope.

Our Solution

• Implemented SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud ERP as the digital core and aligned to the cloud-first strategy, using products like SAP, Ariba, IBP, Concur, Salesforce, etc.
• Integrated existing MES and new cloud products to ensure program success.
• Undertook design thinking workshops to reimagine and simplify business processes (100+ interfaces and 30+ applications).
• Developed Integration strategy, design principles, guidelines, and best practices at the start of the project for overall integration governance. 
• Used APIs in batch processes and file interfaces to enable digital journey for legacy apps.
• Aligned with SAP’s roadmap by finalizing pre-packaged integrations on the platform.
• Increased data visibility and integrity by using SAP MDG as “one source of the truth”.
