The client is a leading software and technology company that powers the global travel industry.

Client partners with airlines, hoteliers, agencies, and other travel partners to retail, distribute, and fulfill travel.

The Challenge

The client was on a modernization journey from Mainframe to Google Cloud , which involved multiple environments and complex workflows. Therefore, there was a need to implement CI/CD to manage them seamlessly. Manually deploying new versions to multiple environments was leading to unexpected issues and downtime. Due to an insufficient rollback procedure, there was a challenge to quickly revert to a previous stable state when issues arose.

LTM solution

LTM, as a partner, helped with the client’s Google Cloud transformation journey of application modernization (Mainframe to Google Cloud platform) and CI/CD automation.

The apps were hosted in GKE and Cloud Run. Cloud Build was integrated with GitHub and used to create and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deploy applications. IaC was used to define and manage environments consistently. Cloud Deployment Manager was used for seamless multi-region deployments, versioning, and rollback. In terms of the Google Operations suite, Cloud Logging was used to collect and analyze logs.
