From Climate Commitments to Measurable Delivery

Climate action has entered a new phase. Most countries have now submitted updated national climate plans, and attention is turning to how quickly those commitments become investment, infrastructure, and verifiable results.

COP31 reflects this shift. The COP31 Presidency has built the conference around three values: dialogue, consensus, and action, with an Action Agenda of ten priority themes and six global implementation targets for 2035. At the same time, negotiations will advance work on adaptation, climate finance, and a just transition.

For enterprises, the expectation is changing. Climate performance will increasingly be judged not on ambition alone, but on evidence: trusted data, resilient operations, and progress that can be measured and reported with confidence.

LTM will be at COP31 in Antalya, hosting sessions and engaging with policymakers, industry leaders, and climate specialists on how data, AI, and connected operations can help turn climate commitments into measurable outcomes.

Why Connect with LTM at COP31

  • Understand what COP31 outcomes mean for your industry, operations, and disclosure obligations
  • Discuss physical climate risk, adaptation, and resilience for critical operations and supply chains
  • Explore data-led approaches to measure, manage, and reduce emissions
  • Discover how industrial AI and connected operations can turn climate targets into measurable results

Climate Action Starts with Our Own Operations

We hold ourselves to the same standard we help our clients meet. In FY2025–26, 73.79% of the energy we consumed globally came from renewable sources, on the way to our goal of more than 85% by 2030. We are committed to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and to reaching net zero by 2040.

Beyond carbon, LTM is 2.8 times water positive and is working toward becoming 5 times water positive by 2030. In FY2025–26, we recycled 94.41% of our waste, working toward 100% waste recycling by 2030.

Our Focus Areas at COP31

Here are six areas where COP31 priorities and enterprise action meet, and where we will focus our conversations in Antalya.

Circular Economy, Waste, and Methane

Why it matters at COP31: Under the Global Methane Pledge, more than 150 countries have committed to a collective effort to cut global methane emissions by at least 30% from 2020 levels by 2030. The COP31 Presidency is building on this through its Zero Waste agenda, which encourages countries to include waste-sector methane reduction in their national climate plans. COP31 Presidency targets for 2035 also include reducing the increase in waste generation by 50% and raising the use of circular materials in manufacturing and production to at least 15%.

Our perspective: Circularity and methane reduction both start with traceability. We will focus on how material, waste, and supply chain data can support resource efficiency, methane reduction, and circular operations.

Climate Finance and Trusted Climate Data

Why it matters at COP31: At COP29, countries agreed a new climate finance goal of at least USD 300 billion a year by 2035 for developing countries and called on all actors to scale up finance from public and private sources to at least USD 1.3 trillion a year by 2035. A dedicated roadmap sets out how to reach this level, and its first progress update is expected at COP31. The COP31 Presidency’s Climate Implementation Bridge aims to connect national climate plans with investment and delivery, helping turn them into projects that can attract finance.

Our perspective: Capital flows to what can be measured and trusted. We will focus on how integrated, comparable emissions and climate risk data can give investors, lenders, regulators, and clients confidence in reported progress, and help organizations prepare credible, finance-ready climate projects.

Adaptation and Climate Resilience

Why it matters at COP31: Climate impacts are already affecting people, assets, and economies. At COP30, countries adopted 59 Belém Adaptation Indicators to track progress under the Global Goal on Adaptation and called for tripling adaptation finance by 2035. COP31 continues this work.

Our perspective: Adaptation can only be managed if it can be measured. We will focus on how connected asset, operational, and environmental data can help organizations understand physical climate risk and track resilience over time.

AI and Digital for Climate Action

Why it matters at COP31: The COP31 Presidency has announced the Antalya Pledge on AI and the AI for Clean Tech initiative to harness AI for climate action while addressing the rising energy use of data centers. The Presidency has also said it expects companies to be transparent about their energy use and to power their operations with clean energy.

Our perspective: AI earns its place in climate action only when its benefits and its footprint are both measured. We will focus on industrial AI applied to defined operational outcomes, and on how enterprises can measure, report, and manage the energy used by the AI they deploy.

Learn More

Energy Transition and Electrification

Why it matters at COP31: The COP31 Presidency’s 35-by-35 Global Electrification Pledge aims to raise electricity’s share of global final energy consumption to 35% by 2035, supported by modern and resilient grids.

Our perspective: Electrification at scale requires visibility across plants, grids, and assets. We will focus on how IT and OT integration can improve energy efficiency and support electrification roadmaps.

Loss and Damage

Why it matters at COP31: Some climate impacts can no longer be avoided. In its first call for funding requests, the Fund for responding to Loss and Damage (FRLD) received 176 requests from 119 countries, totaling about USD 2.8 billion. The Fund’s Board is expected to consider its first funding decisions in December 2026.

Our perspective: Responding to loss and damage depends on credible evidence of what has been lost and why. We will focus on the role of data and digital systems in assessing climate-related losses and supporting informed recovery decisions.
